3M™ Scotch® ATG 926 Transfer Tape

3M Scotch ATG 926 is an adhesive transfer tape designed to be applied with an ATG applicator. The gun lays down an unsupported film of adhesive and takes up the liner: you apply adhesive quickly and cleanly, over long lengths.

Specifications

• Type: double-sided adhesive transfer tape, unsupported.
• Application: with ATG dispenser.
• Widths: 6, 12 and 19 mm.

The ATG principle

ATG stands for Adhesive Transfer Gun. You draw the gun along the part: the adhesive film is laid down and the liner winds back into the device. No cutting, no liner to peel off by hand, no liquid adhesive to dry.

The time saving is clear as soon as you apply adhesive frequently or over long lengths.

Typical uses

Closing boxes and packaging, framing, assembling point-of-sale displays, fixing paper, films and light materials, mounting gaskets and thin parts before final assembly.

Choosing the width

6 mm lays a thin, discreet bead. 12 mm is the all-round width. 19 mm covers a wider area for greater hold. The width must be compatible with the dispenser used.

A successful bond

Clean, dry surfaces. After placing the second part, apply firm pressure: an adhesive transfer tape only reaches its strength through intimate contact with both surfaces.
